Accountants Get Social (Media)!
I had the privilege of speaking at the New York Accounting Technology Show and Conference this week, and, in spite of my own personal technology problems and frustrating travel delays while on this trip, it was a fantastic opportunity to touch base with members of the accounting community and share ideas. Rick Telberg, AccountingWEB blogger and founder of Bay Street Group and CPA Trendlines, and I spoke about social media tools that can be particularly useful to members of the accounting profession.
The timing was perfect as we kick off Social Media month in AccountingWEB Life. We plan on spending the month sharing tips, tools, and the latest in social media trends with our readers. Caleb is an adjunct professor of journalism the Community College of Denver in Denver, Colorado, where he teaches Internet Media.
Prior to falling bass ackwards into the media business, Caleb spent over five years working in public accounting, with more than three of those years at KPMG. Caleb received a Master of Science in Accounting from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Caleb spends a lot of time on a bicycle and reading, but never at the same time.
