Financial Executives International (FEI) issued this press release last night that Marie Hollein has been appointed President and CEO of the organization of 15,000 senior financial executives.
Hollein, currently a Managing Director for KPMG's Treasury Practice, will take the helm at FEI effective January 12. Jim Abel served as President and CEO on an interim basis since July while the search was conducted. FEI announced the news to staff first at our holiday luncheon yesterday (more about that in my next post), and staff are very excited to welcome Hollein as our leader, with many of us knowing her as an active and dedicated member of FEI . We also wish Jim Abel well and thank him for his leadership during the search period.
