Webinars are Good Tools When Used Wisely

Back to blog homepage for: Marketing Today and tomorrow

For both small and large firms, Webinars are a good way to reach out into the community, demonstrate knowledge and maintain a simple budget. Using this technology tool helps you make a connection with your clients and prospects without the expense and hassle of an on-site seminar or similar program. It can also be more effective to add value by sharing critical information than to devote your resources to an ad campaign that may not reach or motivate your targeted audience. We host niche specific webinars in our firm so that we keep the inofrmation very targeted and relevant - which helps attract a better audience. The more pertinent the information, the more likely it is that people will sign on.

We also began offering lunch one hour prior to the webinar for anyone who wants to attend "in person." While the convenience of the webinar encourages most people to participate remotely, for those feew who like to have lunch, meet the speaker personally, and network, we do offer an in-person component. This is optional but every quarter at least five people show up! It is also helpful for the speaker who now can address a "real audience" rather than speaking into the telephone!

While we prefer the opportunity to met with our audience, this is one way to begin building relationships which may lead to other more personal meetings.
