Don’t Ignore the Technology Revolution
The record sales we saw coming from the release of Apple’s iPhone 5 are a reminder of just how prominent technology has become in our lives. It’s also an increasingly important part of how we run our businesses. Survey data from our small business customers at SurePayroll shows that as much as 50 percent of small businesses have increased productivity to the point that it’s outpacing the need to hire.
This is largely due to their ability to leverage technology to become more efficient in the face of difficult economic conditions. Whether it’s outsourcing services by using a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, utilizing the Cloud for data storage or communicating with customers through video chat, small business owners are learning to work smarter.
Still, a gap exists between the tech savvy and those trying to catch up.
If you’re on the other side of this technology divide and haven’t figured out how to take advantage of the tools that are out there, it’s important that you keep learning. The pace of change is so fast in today’s business world that you risk being left behind if you don’t.
This month, we’ll talk about how to adapt to these trends, because they’re not going away.
