SurveyCPA Launched Specifically for the Accounting Profession

Founding partners, Rita Keller of Keller Advisors and Gary Adamson of Adamson Advisory, have today announced the development of a suite of survey tools designed specifically for the accounting profession. The suite is called SurveyCPA, and it provides the critical feedback, data, and peer benchmarking CPAs need to create a culture for success.

Keller, an award-winning and widely respected voice to CPA firm management, is nationally known as a CPA firm management consultant, speaker, and author. Adamson, a former managing partner of a Top 200 accounting firm, is one of the few CPA firm management consultants who has personally experienced the challenges and excitement of life inside an accounting firm. "In consulting with firms across the country the last several years, Gary and I saw a need to develop a tool which would help survey not only clients, but partners and employees as well," stated Keller.

Employment Engagement
It is a well-known fact that employees who have strong feelings of engagement stay with their employer and demonstrate a superior job performance. Firm leaders agree that retaining their best performers ensures client satisfaction, enhanced firm profitability, and lays the groundwork for firm success. "At SurveyCPA, we have developed a survey and process to help owners of CPA firms find out what their team thinks and we assist them in determining how to follow up. Our Employment Engagement survey has been built specifically for accounting firms by people who have managed one," explains Adamson.

Upward Evaluation
Many studies have shown that people do not leave firms, they leave supervisors. In the CPA profession that means partners and managers. "SurveyCPA also has an efficient Upward Evaluation tool to gather feedback with minimal interruption to busy professionals," continued Keller. "The twenty-one questions have been written specifically for an accounting environment, and now firms are including upward survey information for partners as part of their annual partner compensation process."

Client Satisfaction Survey
The third tool of SurveyCPA is the Client Satisfaction Survey. Today's progressive accounting firms are asking clients for critical feedback to help them improve and focus the firm. "At SurveyCPA, we manage the process for our clients. Our carefully developed survey questions gather the data that firms need, such as taking proactive steps to uncover client issues and using the survey results as part of partner compensation plans. Plus, as part of our premium survey offering, we will tailor a services section specifically for firms that will determine if there are additional services that their clients have an interest in buying," stated Adamson.

SurveyCPA Benefits
SurveyCPA offers unique benefits designed for accounting firms. First, the surveys were created with questions that apply specifically to public accounting. The real power of SurveyCPA comes from benchmarking capabilities. Beyond the current year data, firms will receive national comparisons in the second and subsequent years that firms participate. Historical comparisons for each individual and the firm will also be included. Perhaps the most significant value is that firms will receive a review of the results by an experienced consultant and a telephone conference that provides analysis, comments, and answers on the surveys.

There are a number of workplace surveys; however, SurveyCPA is targeted specifically for the accounting industry by experienced firm leaders and consultants.
