The Illinois CPA Society is accepting scholarship applications for the 2014-15 academic year. Students attending any Illinois college or university, pursuing an accounting degree with plans to become a CPA can apply.

Last year the Illinois CPA Society awarded $51,000 in tuition and textbook scholarships to twenty-five accounting students as part of the Accounting Scholarship Program funded by the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois.

Illinois CPA Society Accounting Tuition Scholarship: Multiple scholarships of up to $2,000 each available to students enrolled as a senior or graduate student.

Illinois CPA Society Textbook Scholarship: Multiple awards of up to $500 each in book and curriculum expenses available to students enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate student.

Herman J. Neal Scholarship: Multiple scholarships of up to $4,000 each available to African-American students enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate student.

Women’s Executive Committee Advancing Women in Accounting Scholarship: Multiple scholarships of up to $4,000 each available to high-achieving female students enrolled as a senior or graduate student.

The deadline for applications is April 1, 2014. Candidates may apply for multiple scholarships. For more information and to apply, visit the Illinois CPA Society’s student programs page.

The Society provides these scholarships thanks to the efforts of the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois and its support of the future of the accounting profession via the generosity of its members and their firms and organizations.
