GALLINA and Merrill Carlson Announce Merger

On June 20, 2012, GALLINA LLP announced its merger with Seattle-based firm, Merrill Carlson, PLLC, effective July 1, 2012. The merger introduces new leadership in Seattle, Washington, including Kirk Merrill, Eldon Carlson, and Chris Carlson. GALLINA LLP's Novato-based partner, Teresa Arrighi, has been announced as the regional managing partner of the Pacific Northwest Region and the newest member of the executive committee.
Larry Taylor, GALLINA LLP's managing partner, expresses that "the business philosophies of the two firms are very similar. Both firms believe in developing close and long-term relationships with clients by providing specialized services focused on solving challenges and achieving business successes." He continues that, "GALLINA is well known as a leader in the West Coast with strong expertise in construction, while Merrill Carlson is respected within the Puget Sound region business community."
Merrill Carlson's founding partner, Kirk Merrill, said, "What is exciting about becoming part of the GALLINA team is the ability to bring a greater depth in our bench through more robust resources to serve our clients as well as expanded expertise and greater capacity."
Eldon Carlson, Merrill Carlson founding partner, said, "The expanded firm of GALLINA Merrill Carlson provides the foundation for turbo-charging our growth in the construction and health care industries in the Puget Sound region."
Merrill continues saying, "The merger provides expanded career track opportunities for our local team as well as access to the resources of a larger firm to provide additional expertise to our clients."
Under the terms of the agreement, Merrill Carlson will assume a new name, GALLINA Merrill Carlson LLP. Seattle-based partners include founders, Kirk Merrill and Eldon Carlson, with the introduction of Chris Carlson as the newest member of the GALLINA partner group.
GALLINA's Seattle-based senior manager, Jin Rudolph, will join the team at Merrill Carlson's home office.
GALLINA LLP is scheduled to move their current Seattle-area office into Merrill Carlson's office.
