Moore Colson continues its highly successful international employee exchange program with United Kingdom accounting and consulting firm HURST. This year, Moore Colson will host HURST Audit Senior Adam Stirling. Also, as part of the exchange, Moore Colson will send Business Assurance Senior Associate Brad Parker to HURST during the same time period this fall. Moore Colson and HURST are independent member firms in PrimeGlobal, one of the world's largest international associations of accounting firms. Moore Colson is a full-service firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. HURST is a leading business advisory and accounting firm located in the North West of England, with offices in Stockport, Manchester, and London.
Stirling will work with Moore Colson's Business Assurance Practice from September 9 through October 18. He has worked for HURST over the past six years and was qualified as a Chartered Accountant in December 2010. In the United Kingdom, one is required to complete a three-year training contract to join the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). Adam also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting (University of Salford, 2008). At HURST, Adam is responsible for external audits, preparation of statutory accounts, preparation of corporation tax computations as part of external audits, charity external audits, and highly regulated "financial conduct authority" audits.
In 2005, the initial stages of the exchange were discussed and preparation of what would turn out to be a brilliantly successful program began. Throughout the years, both Moore Colson and HURST firm leaders and associates have traveled recurrently to each other's firms, enabling this ongoing program to further develop and flourish - not only for the benefit of the exchange employees and both firms, but mutual clients in both countries as well. By sharing resources and actual hands-on business experiences, we gain a better understanding of our clients' business objectives, goals and needs, therefore allowing both firms to connect and serve them more accurately and at a much higher level while also broadening international reach.
Parker has been selected to represent Moore Colson in the exchange program and will also visit HURST this fall. As a senior associate in Moore Colson's Business Assurance Practice, Parker works with financial audits and reviews, in addition to participating in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance projects. Parker is a graduate of Samford University and served as an intern with Moore Colson during the summer of 2008.
