CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, a CPA and consulting firm, has been named the top performer in the Intacct Business Partner Program for 2012. The recognition came as Intacct recorded its largest quarterly bookings in the company's history for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012 ended June 30. 

Intacct Business Partners closed more than three times as many new deals in fiscal 2012 versus the prior year, resulting in a 59 percent increase in bookings over the prior year.

The CPA and advisory firm of DeLeon & Stang is pleased to announce the addition of Maria Sevilla as a staff accountant in the tax/audit department. Sevilla specializes in performing general accounting and tax services for both individuals and corporations. Prior to joining DeLeon & Stang, she was a tax accountant at CapitalSource Bank and a staff accountant at CapitalSource Finance. Sevilla graduated in 2006 from the University of Maryland where she received her BS in finance and international business.

IMA, one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession, has announced the promotions of three members of its Montvale, New Jersey senior leadership team.
 
Doreen Remmen, CMA, CAE, chief financial officer and vice president of operations, has been promoted to senior vice president, operations, and chief financial officer. In her role as staff liaison for IMA's Planning and Development Committee, Doreen will continue to work closely with all IMA value streams to execute strategic plans and innovation initiatives as well as delivering an efficient and seamless customer experience.
 
Steven A. Weiss, CAE, vice president, membership, marketing and business development, has been promoted to senior vice president, global membership, marketing, and business development. He will be responsible for delivering compelling content solutions through diverse media channels in an effort to reach targeted markets around the globe.
 
Dennis Whitney, CMA, CFM, senior vice president, Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA®), is now senior vice president, certifications, exams, and content integration. In his expanded role, Dennis will continue to manage the ICMA team and support IMA staff charged with the creation and development of high-value, integrated content for IMA members as part of IMA's innovation process.

Lee Tabor, CPA, has joined the accounting firm in a senior analyst position in the Valuation, Litigation and Business Transition Services Group. He brings a broad range of experience in providing auditing services for clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, not-for-profits, and manufacturing. Most recently a senior auditor at KPMG, Tabor earned his Masters of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi. 
 
Philip Groves has joined the accounting firm in a senior position in the accounting and assurance services department. He brings a broad range of experiences, including having specialized in performing benefit plan audits and working closely with clients across industry lines, such as general commercial, distribution, and healthcare. A graduate of Harding University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, he previously served as a senior auditor for CBIZ MHM in Memphis, Tennessee.
 
Lacy Fleming has joined the accounting firm in a staff position in the accounting and assurance services department. She previously interned at LBMC while completing a graduate assistantship at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). While at MTSU she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in accountancy.
 
Drew McCullough has joined the accounting firm in a staff position in the accounting and assurance services department. He previously worked as a staff auditor for Erwin and Company, P.A. McCullough is a graduate of Harding University with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
 
Kaitlyn Kambestad has joined the accounting firm in an executive administrative assistant position within the shared services department, serving the entire LBMC Family of Companies. She previously worked for School of the Legends where she coordinated travel arrangements and other senior executive administrative tasks. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
 
Tracy Teems-Hughes has joined the accounting firm in a small business service manager position in the client accounting services department. She previously worked in a similar position in the tax department at Wilkins, Crews & Associates. Teems-Hughes is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and will be working primarily with clients of LBMCWorks, which provides day-to-day accounting services, such as accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial statements. 
 
LBMC is pleased to announce the following promotions in its Nashville office:
 
Kaitlin Grigsby has been promoted to a human resources representative. She was previously a human resources coordinator in the department. In her new role, Grigsby will be coordinating campus recruiting at nine universities as well as recruiting for entry level and internship positions at LBMC. She will also work closely with professionals to set up midyear, year-end, and engagement valuations as well as facilitate internal training and development events. Grigsby is a graduate of Belmont University.
 
Joshua P. Brummett, CPA/ABV, CFF has been promoted to a senior manager in the valuation, litigation and business acquisition/disposition division. He specializes in the health care industry with a focus in transaction and compliance-related valuations, such as physician practice acquisitions and compensation valuations. He was previously a manager in the department.

LBMC Employment Partners, LLC has added Emily Wells to its Chattanooga office in an administration assistant position. She previously worked as an HR representative at Dover Mortgage in Charlotte, North Carolina. Wells is a graduate of Central Piedmont Community College. In her new role, she will provide assistance to clients as well as internal support in the area of human resource consulting.

An accounting and finance graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Hays was once named a Who's Who in Real Estate by the St. Louis Business Journal.
 
Harris serves clients in a variety of industries, including not-for-profit, contractor, home building, entertainment, public sector, and manufacturing and distribution. An accounting graduate of University of Missouri- St. Louis, Harris has won numerous professionals awards and recognition, including the NABA Rising Star award in 2009 and was named in 2007 among UMSL's Outstanding Young Alumni.

Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, LLP has announced that Barry E. Palczewski has joined the firm as a senior associate in its Trusts and Estates Group.
 
Palczewski has more than 20 years' experience in judicial accountings for probate and administration of decedents, estates, family, wealth, philanthropic, gift, and estate tax planning. As a senior fiduciary accountant, he has provided services to individuals in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and taxation of individuals, trusts, and estates. He worked at Kelley, Drye and Warren LLP in New York City and then at Blair and Potts in Stanford, Connecticut, before joining Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, LLP. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in political science from Baruch College-City University of New York.
 
Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, LLP also announced that Elizabeth Oberg has joined the firm as its senior accountant. In her new position, she will be responsible for her clients' corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns as well as tax planning. Before joining Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, LLP, Oberg worked at accounting firms in which her primary focus was on rental real estate and Common Interest Realty Associations. In 2010, Oberg completed her CPA certification and is currently studying for her CFE. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Jayna L. Bovre, Partner-in-Charge, Operations; Fort Worth
Bovre joined Weaver's information technology team in 2005 and became the director of the group shortly thereafter. In 2007, she was named director of operations. Bovre is currently responsible for overseeing human resources, finance, information technology, professional development, administration, and marketing. She has more than sixteen years of experience in operations management for midsize public accounting firms, including implementing operational processes, procedures, policies, and budgets. Prior to joining Weaver, she worked for Virchow, Krause and Company, LLP. Bovre earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, graduating cum laude.

Dowling has more than thirty years of experience in public accounting, including advising a variety of businesses on tax compliance and planning, research, and other tax consulting. He joined Weaver in 2009 as a tax senior manager when Weaver opened an office in Austin. He serves clients in a variety of industries, including technology, real estate, construction, retail, and manufacturing. He has extensive experience working with closely-held businesses and high net worth individuals. Prior to joining the firm, Dowling worked for BDO Seidman; Reynolds & Dowling, PC; and Brown, Graham & Company, PC. He earned a BS degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. Brian A. Reed, CPA, CVA: Partner, Transaction Advisory Services; Dallas
Reed has twelve years of accounting experience primarily focused in the areas of acquisition due diligence and valuation services. He joined Weaver in 2009 to lead the firm's transaction advisory services practice. Reed works with companies in several industries, including manufacturing and distribution, oil and gas, retail, technology, and professional services. Prior to joining Weaver, he founded Lone Star Value Advisors Inc., a valuation and advisory firm. He earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Tulane University's Freeman School of Business and a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
 
Philippe Simoens, CPA, MBA: Partner, Tax and Strategic Business Services; Houston
With more than twelve years of experience in public accounting, Simoens focuses primarily on corporation and partnership tax planning and compliance. His experience includes assisting companies with international, multistate, and local tax compliance issues, particularly for manufacturing and distribution, financial services, and hedge fund entities. Simoens joined Weaver in 1998. He is a frequent author and speaker on various tax-related topics. Simoens earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, France.
 
George E. Stavinoha, CPA: Partner, Tax and Strategic Business Services; San Antonio
With more than nineteen years of experience, Stavinoha is a member of Weaver's real estate and construction industry practice with specialty areas in consulting, compliance, and tax planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts. He also provides services related to mineral interest taxation, the Texas franchise tax, multistate taxation, choice of entity, asset-protection strategies, gift and estate tax planning, and litigation support. He joined Weaver in 2009 when the firm expanded into San Antonio and merged with Polansky McNutt Perry & Company. Stavinoha earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at Texas A&M University.
 
Colby B. Warr, CPA: Partner, Assurance Services; Houston
Warr, who joined Weaver in 2009, has more than twelve years of public accounting experience focusing on financial statement audits and reviews, carve-out audits, and other transaction-related services. He works with clients across the energy industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream companies as well as natural gas and wind energy companies. Warr also has experience with bond offerings, hedge accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley integration, business combinations, goodwill, and other intangible asset impairment reviews and renewable energy cash grants under Section 1603 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. He has extensive experience with IFRS and has led several conversion projects for companies making the transition from US GAAP to IFRS. Warr earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Brigham Young University.

Wipfli LLP, a national CPA and consulting firm, announced the admission of six associates to the partnership. The addition of Kelly Arduino, Matt Bollinger, Todd Kostman, Cori Schoenke, Jay Totzke, and Jeff Wulf brings the total number of partners in the firm to 142.

She provides clients with a wide range of services, from strategic planning and organizational design and restructuring to service line planning and clinical research program planning. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance, Management, and Strategy from Northwestern University; a master's degree from Loyola University in Chicago; and a bachelor's degree in organizational development from Northwestern University. 
Bollinger has over thirteen years of experience in public accounting and working for financial institutions, and he dedicates his time to serving financial institutions. In his current position, he specializes in providing financial statement audits, loan reviews and compilations, internal audits, director examinations, and asset liability management reviews to financial institutions. Prior to joining Wipfli, Bollinger worked for several years in the banking industry. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University. 
 
With over seventeen years of experience, Kostman is the leader of the firm's Business Advisory Services practice in the Eau Claire market and provides accounting, tax, and business consulting services to small and midsized businesses. He also leads the firm's dealership industry practice in the Eau Claire office. A CPA, Kostman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. 
 
Schoenke has over twenty years of experience in the health care and nonprofit industries. Her primary focus is on planning, conducting, and overseeing financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits, and compliance and statutory audits of health care and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Wipfli in 2009, Schoenke worked for over ten years as an external auditor for a Big Four firm and as a regional controller for a large public company. Schoenke, a CPA, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. 
 
With over fourteen years of public accounting experience, Totzke is dedicated to serving financial institutions. He specializes in providing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, agreed-upon procedures, field examinations, and general consulting to financial institutions. He is also a member of the firm's Quality Assurance Committee. Prior to joining Wipfli, Totzke worked for a Big Four firm. A CPA, Totzke holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He plans to graduate from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. 
 
Wulf has over twenty years of experience and leads the consulting practice in the firm's Southern Region, where he also works with clients on organizational development, change management, and process improvement. Prior to joining the firm, Wulf worked as a consultant with another international professional services firm and in various marketing and business development roles at a Fortune 500 company. Wulf holds a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago.
