ASWA's Annual Conference: Connect. Advance. Lead.

The American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) has announced its 2012 Annual Conference for Accounting and Financial Women - "Connect. Advance. Lead." The conference will be held October 22-24, 2012, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina in San Diego, California.

In addition to top educational offerings, the conference offers unparalleled opportunities to market to, recruit from, and network with more than 400 decision makers from the accounting and finance industries.

The ASWA conference is the premier accounting and finance conference for women. Attendees can earn up to twenty-three hours of continuing professional education to support the yearly requirement to maintain their CPA license.

Aside from an educational focus, conference activities include networking, leadership development, fundraising for the ASWA Educational Foundation to support scholarships, and recognition of leaders in the field through the 2012 ASWA Excellence in Accounting & Finance Awards and CPA Practice Advisor's 20 Most Powerful Women Awards.

"The gathering of accounting and finance professionals from across the country is an important opportunity for women in an industry still dominated by men at the top tiers," said Lee K. Lowery, CAE, ASWA Executive Director. "Our breakout sessions and featured keynotes, a panel of diversity leaders in the field, and a session on negotiation give these professionals the education and networking opportunities to advance their careers and become leaders in the field."

ASWA extends its thanks to the 2012 conference sponsors for their support:
