1. AccountingWEB Membership Exceeds 47,000
What started as a few hundred names from a database in August 1999 has swelled to a subscriber base of over 47,000 registered accounting and finance professionals who utilize AccountingWEB each and every week for news, information and resources to help them succeed. We are delighted to report that new members continue to register for the AccountingWEB service at the rate of 500 per week!
Globally, AccountingWEB’s sister sites in the United Kingdom and in the Netherlands, together with our U.S. membership, now reach a combined worldwide audience of over 165,000 accounting and finance professionals!
2. Demographics of The AccountingWEB Membership
You may be interested to learn that 42% of our members are in public practice, with an equal number of partners and professional staff represented. 30% are in industry, 21% are in academia, and the rest come from government, associations, the media, vendors and other interested organizations.
3. AccountingWEB Enjoys Three Record Quarters in a Row
Not only has AccountingWEB weathered the worst of the economic storm, we have come out ahead, and in the black. Revenues for 2001 were up three-fold over 2000, with month-on-month profitability since July 2001. For an online service to be profitable in this post-Internet boom, recessionary economy is a huge accomplishment, and one that makes all of us at AccountingWEB very proud. All of our key metrics are growing steadily, and we are in a great strategic position to take advantage of current opportunities as well as economic upturns.
4. AccountingWEB - THE Independent Voice of The Accounting Profession
AccountingWEB continues to maintain its unique position as an independent organization, unconstrained by software company, publisher, or association ownership. We are happy to disclose that our largest client in 2001 made up less than 10% of our annual revenue, allowing us to continue to be a truly independent voice. What that means is that our members trust us to bring valuable, unbiased information to them, resulting in an advisory role that can provide better positioning to the products and services that we present to our members.
5. AccountingWEB’s Document Library System Ready For Expansion
In 2001, AccountingWEB added a pay-per-view document delivery system to assist organizations with finding a new channel to market & sell their documents. The system has now been fine-tuned, and we are looking for published content to deliver to our growing membership. Whether it is a suite of white papers, PowerPoint presentations, Excel templates, checklists, articles, book chapters, or any other documents that you can envision, AccountingWEB has a way to help you supplement your sales efforts. Even if you are not currently selling these documents, AccountingWEB can help you turn them into a revenue source. Let AccountingWEB bring the traffic, market the document, handle the financial transaction, and deliver the documents – you get a royalty on all revenues generated. Contact our sales team at 317-876-7525 or to see if your organization qualifies for participation in the AccountingWEB document library.

6. Texas Society Selects AccountingWEB For Weekly News Service
The Texas Society of CPAs, one of the largest state CPA societies in the U.S., has selected AccountingWEB as the provider of its weekly national news service to its members. AccountingWEB news will be delivered weekly, coupled with Texas state society news and information to Texas’ 27,000+ members. We are delighted to be working with Texas, and welcome inquiries from other organizations to explore how we can help achieve their communications goals with their membership through our value-added news service and e-mail systems.
7. The Fastest Growing Segments of Our Site - CareerZONE
Through a partnership with CareerBank, started in mid-2001, AccountingWEB’s CareerZONE is attracting both individuals as well as the businesses they are looking to work for, and is now one of the most accessed areas of our site. We encourage you to see what CareerZONE might do for your business today.
8. Consultative Sales Efforts Help Advertisers Maximize Opportunities
Let’s face it, we all have our core competencies. One of AccountingWEB’s core competencies is in knowing our members and knowing our medium. Not only can our sales team create unique solutions to help meet your organization’s marketing goals, but it can also offer creative guidance, as we have with many of our advertisers, to turn average promotional campaigns into successful ones. Tell us what you’re trying to accomplish, and we’ll tell you how we can help. And if for some reason we don’t think we can help, we’ll point you in the direction of someone who can.
