Someone is paying $351,000 to have lunch with Warren Buffett. The winner, and up to seven of their closest friends, will meet the Buffett for lunch at a mutually agreeable date, time, and restaurant in New York or Omaha. The winning bidder’s name has not been made public and they may choose to remain anonymous.

This year’s winning bid set a new record, surpassing the previous record of $250,000, by more than $100,000. The money is going to a good cause, the Glide Foundation, a non-profit organization providing social services to the poor and homeless in San Francisco
