Tofias PC, New England’s leading accounting and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Tofias has been inducted into the Junior Achievement of Eastern Massachusetts 2007 Business Hall of Fame.
A formal induction ceremony was held at Junior Achievement’s Annual Gala at the Westin Copley Hotel in Boston on Wednesday, May 16th which featured James Earl Jones as the evening’s key note speaker.
Companies were chosen for induction based on excellence in three key areas:
1. Success in the free enterprise system
2. Proven commitment to the community, especially youth
3. Education insistence on growth and investment in Eastern Massachusetts
“We believe in the philosophy that those more fortunate than others have a responsibility to give back to those with less – to build bridges and better lives, and create opportunities for others,” comments Tracy Gallagher, Managing Director of Tofias. “This commitment to community involvement is an important part of our culture. We strive to stand for, and do, the right things on a day-to-day basis in the business world, but when an organization as widely and highly regarded as Junior Achievement recognizes and applauds our efforts, it’s both rewarding and fulfilling. We look forward to continuing to give back in ways we hope are meaningful to the community.”
Along with Tofias, the following companies were also selected for induction: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, WCVB TV Channel 5, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Hollister Associates, and Kevin P. Martin & Associates.
“The Boston Business Hall of Fame continues to showcase Boston’s best students and businesses” said David Eustis, Jr., President of Junior Achievement of Eastern Massachusetts. “All of us at Junior Achievement are so lucky to have six outstanding companies that view community involvement as a pillar of their success.”
