J.H. Cohn LLP has been honored as one of the “Best Places to Work in New York 2010” by the New York State Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) in conjunction with Journal Publications Inc., and as one of the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey 2010” by NJBiz and Best Companies Group.
The firm, which has offices in Manhattan, White Plains, and Jericho, ranked sixth among the 40 companies honored in New York. In New Jersey, the firm, which is headquartered in Roseland and has additional offices in Metropark, Eatontown, and Lawrenceville, ranked seventeenth among the 40 companies honored.
In both states, J.H. Cohn was nominated in the “Large Employers” (250 employees or more) category. The firm’s ranking was based upon surveys completed earlier this year by firm partners and staff. Those surveys, completed anonymously and confidentially by a third-party company, addressed their views and satisfaction of firm initiatives, such as family-friendly work environment, flexibility in schedule, one-on-one mentoring, networking, firm benefits, and employee perks.
The New York ranking was announced at the “Best Places to Work in New York” awards ceremony April 21st, while the New Jersey ranking was announced at the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey” awards ceremony April 22nd. This was J.H. Cohn’s first year participating in the New York program.
