In launching a new management model, Deerfield, IL-based accounting and business consulting firm Frost, Ruttenberg & Rothblatt, PC, has named Amy Mosser its first chief executive officer. In addition, James F. Schultz, CPA, CVA, has been named director of business valuation and litigation support, also a new position.
Mosser, 45, has more than 20 years of experience in health care, information and government sectors in both the United States and Europe. Her expertise lies in her ability to connect strategy to successful execution and create and lead high performing teams.
Prior to joining FR&R, Mosser was the vice president of the American Board of Medical Specialties in Evanston, IL. She has held leadership roles in operations, corporate development and engineering, as well as general management roles in growth and turnaround situations. Mosser also has held various positions with Solucient, LLC, which now is part of Thomson-Reuters; and NovaCare, a geriatric rehabilitation provider. In the United Kingdom, she was company director of Southern Focus, a housing and health services company. She began her career with IBM's space and satellite programs.
Mosser holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
Schultz, 62, has been a certified public accountant for more than 30 years and joined FR&R from Warady & Davis Consulting of Deerfield, where he was a managing member responsible for business valuations, real estate transactions and general litigation support.
Throughout his career, Schultz has worked on and successfully concluded IPOs, secondary offerings, specialized financing vehicles and transactions, syndications, and private placements. In addition, he has presented at the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants (ISCPA) roundtable discussion groups for business valuation.
Schultz holds a master's degree in accounting from Roosevelt University and is a member of ISCPA as well as of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a licensed CPA in Illinois and California, and a licensed real estate broker.
