Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc. (Houlihan), announces the addition of Chris Daniels to its New York office as managing director. He will focus on advising companies on mergers and acquisitions transactions and debt and equity capital raises.

Prior to joining Houlihan Smith & Company, Daniels was chief financial officer of Paramount International Bank. Daniels also served as the CEO of Ascend Financial Group, Ltd., where he arranged the company's strategic partnerships with UBS, Lehman Brothers, and Wachovia Securities. Also, during his tenure at Ascend Financial Group, Ltd., Daniels negotiated the sale of the company to an affiliate of a major private equity firm.
Daniels received his bachelor's degree from Hamilton College and his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University. His expertise has been enhanced by additional post-graduate studies in finance at Harvard University.
