One of the largest CPA firm auto dealership niches, that of Dixon, Odom & Co., a top 30 CPA firm, continues to grow with the expected June 1, 2002 merger of the George B. Jones Companies.
Dixon Odom’s North Carolina-based Dealer Services Group expects the Memphis-based George B. Jones Companies will provide expansion in its depth of service offerings and experience to the dealership industry.
George B. Jones & Co., P.C., a CPA firm, provides a wide array of accounting and consulting services exclusively to the automotive industry. From the firm’s beginning in 1927 as a field office for General Motors, George B. Jones has focused exclusively in servicing the dealership industry. Today, the firm serves several hundred dealership clients in over 40 states. George B. Jones Consulting Co., a sister company of the accounting firm, was formed in 1993. The purpose of this company is to help dealers with the acquisition of dealership data processing systems. In 1996, George B. Jones Dealership Sales, LLC was started with the goal of bringing invaluable experience to those interested in buying and selling dealerships.
