The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), The Hackett Group, and CFO magazine have announced that the winners of the 2002 Best Workplaces for Finance Professionals are:

These companies were recognized for their dedication to providing satisfying and innovative work environments that attract and retain top-notch finance talent.

Launched in 2000, the Best Workplaces for Finance Professionals program evaluates organizations based on employee satisfaction surveys, an online company questionnaire, and for program finalists, an executive interview. Nearly 150 organizations registered to participate. The confidential application process measures best practice utilization in several key dimensions: quality of work life, personal and professional development, employee job satisfaction, technology and tools, and innovation. Organizations that completed this year's application process received a customized report evaluating their use of best practices compared with leading-edge companies.
The Best Workplaces honorees were recognized at The AFP 23rd Annual Conference in New Orleans, November 3-6, 2002. Details on how these companies created and deployed best practices to provide attractive work environments are highlighted in a feature story in CFO magazine's November 2002 issue.
