The first public meeting of the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Advisory Committee on Smaller Public Companies is scheduled for Thursday, June 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, June 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Columbia Law School. The meeting will also be audio webcast on the SEC website . Requests to present oral testimony must be submitted by June 6. Written statements must be received by June 8. In addition, an emergency meeting of public company CEOs, CFOs, attorneys, funders and IR practitioners has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 15 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. at the Southgate Tower. SEC Advisory Committee members will be present to explain their agenda and hear attendee concerns. Outcomes and proposals from the Wednesday evening meeting will be presented by Moderator Marshal Schichtman, Esq. to the SEC on Thursday and Friday. The meeting is co-sponsored by the CEO Council.
