Accounting and business advisory firm Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, LLP (HA&W) announced today the sale of its SIAN document management system to CCH Incorporated, a provider of information services, software and workflow tools for tax, accounting, legal and business professionals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The SIAN application uses Microsoft® .Net technology to provide a web- based document management system designed specifically for CPA firms and is considered a strong candidate to become the industry standard for professional service firms. It allows companies to manage their documents while implementing document life cycle management. The resulting streamlined work process allows companies to increase profits by increasing employee productivity.
"By implementing a firm-wide digital solution, companies will be able to significantly grow their business while controlling their costs," noted Dan Simms, Managing Partner and CEO of HA&W. "At HA&W, we grew our revenue by nearly 50 percent and reduced staff costs by more than 15 percent as a result of the full adoption of paperless processes. The digital office is certainly moving closer to reality. Our firm was in the forefront of this work, so this transaction is a milestone moment for HA&W and its leadership commitment in our industry."
