Clifton Gunderson LLP, the nation’s 13th largest public accounting and consulting firm, has announced the acquisition of Chavarria Dunne & Lamey LLC of Albuquerque, NM, effective April 1, 2007.

Partners and employees of CD&L will join Clifton Gunderson and remain at their current Albuquerque offices. The merger brings three partners and more than 100 employees into Clifton Gunderson’s nationwide practice.

Joining Clifton Gunderson as partners are the three CD&L principals, Gregory J. Chavarria, Caren L. Dunne and Bryan A. Lamey. Chavarria will serve as Managing Partner. All three are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Mexico Society of Public Accountants.

“CD&L’s strong past performance, combined with a reputation for quality and service, has allowed the firm to grow as a favored contractor among much larger firms. Even as they have seen tremendous growth and gained national level experience, they have kept their focus on innovative solutions and client service,” said Clifton Gunderson CEO Carl George.

CD&L has served the accounting and business consulting needs of New Mexico businesses since 1996, with a focus on providing accounting and audit services to various industries, including federal government, construction companies, government contractors, Tribal government and nonprofits. CD&L is ranked third among New Mexico accounting firms by New Mexico Business Weekly.
