Greensboro, N.C.-based public accounting firm Breslow Starling managing member Joe Warner has announced that firm member and administrator Ben Sternberg is stepping down after 20 years of service.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sternberg is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and Harvard University, and served in the military in both the U.S. and overseas. He held various staff positions at the Pentagon prior to becoming an executive for Burlington Industries, later studying accounting at Guilford College and joining Breslow Starling in 1990. He served as firm administrator and held the certified valuation analyst accreditation. He has been an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of CPAs.
"Ben has truly been a key member of the Breslow team for two decades, helping engineer our firm's successful growth into one of the largest firms in the Triad area," said Warner. "Most importantly, he has been committed to our community's and clients' success during his tenure here, and his talents, passion and dedication will be an important part of his legacy at Breslow Starling. We'll certainly miss his contributions."
