“Bowman’s Accounting Report” has a new name: It’s now called INSIDE Public Accounting.
“The change was made to better reflect our mission as the most authoritative and indispensable source of news and best practices at accounting firms and within the profession,” said Martha H. Sawyer, publisher of INSIDE Public Accounting. Added Editor Julie Lindy: “In addition, the new name reflects the editorial direction we’re taking with the newsletter, with greater coverage of local and regional firms, as well as emphasis on best practices for profitability and growth. The new name illustrates what the newsletter’s editorial content has become: an instrument of insight into the trends and issues of the profession and the primary source of information on what progressive, entrepreneurial and profitable firms are doing.”
INSIDE Public Accounting has a different look than BOWMAN’S did, with a contemporary style and bright cream paper replacing the former’s typewriter-on-gray look. “We’ve discussed changing the design for years but didn’t because of the equity we’d built in the former layout and design,” Sawyer said. “It was so recognizable. But it’s a new century, and readers wanted an updated appearance. Also, we wanted a fresh look to go with the fresh name for our flagship publication. The new design is easier to read and follow."
